Three things for Thursday

I know that fall really just began but the holidays will be here before we know it. Maybe your Girl Scout troop is looking for a fun event activity to participate in for the holiday season. Here are three:

Gingerbread Magic – 6 p.m. Friday, December 6 to 8:30 a.m. Saturday December 7, 2013, The Discovery Center of the Southern Tier, 60 Morgan Road, Binghamton, NY, 13903 (Broome County). Open to Girl Scouts in grades K–5 Kick off the holiday season with a festive celebration full of fun and cheer. Learn all about gingerbread traditions and make your own gingerbread house to take home, or add it to our annual “A Village of Gingerbread” display. Special: Stay after and celebrate the grand opening of Santa’s Workshop and A Village of Gingerbread. Starting at 9 a.m. there will a pancake breakfast and pictures with Santa.

Home for the Holidays, Daisies and Brownies – Saturday December 7th Noon-2p.m., Roberson Museum and Science Center, 30 Front Street, Binghamton, NY, 13905, (Broome County). Open to Girl Scouts in grades K–3 Explore holiday traditions from around the world. Tour the festive Roberson Mansion and the International Forest. Create an ornament inspired by one of the international trees. Receive a Christmas fun patch.

Holiday Night at the Museum – 6:30 p.m. Friday, January 3 to 8:30 Saturday, January 4, 2014  Roberson Museum and Science Center, 30 Front Street, Binghamton, NY, 13905 , (Broome County). Open to Girl Scouts in grades K–8 Spend the night in the Roberson Museum. Explore holiday traditions from around the world. Tour the festive Roberson Mansion and the International Forest. Create an ornament inspired by one of the international trees. See a planetarium show and watch a late night movie. Late night snacks, drinks, and breakfast are included.
