During 2012, our 100th Anniversary year, we collected mementos of who we are and what we did during this monumental year. All areas of our council are represented in this collection – all of our camps, our legacy councils, our troops and individuals. There are photographs and signature tags and items that hold special meaning to the girls who contributed them. All of this is a record of our centennial year.
All of these items will be at the Annual Meeting where they will be placed in a time capsule. The time capsule will be sealed at the close of the meeting and set aside and held in safe keeping until it is opened once again in 2037. By attending the Annual Meeting you will have an opportunity to add your signature tag to the capsule before it is sealed. You can even be part of a group photo that is going to be included in the capsule. Attending the 2013 Annual Meeting will allow you to be part of this piece of Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways history, and help us kick off the 101st year of Girl Scouts!
In addition to sealing the time capsule there will be a discussion about “The Next Steps to Delivering the Best Leadership Experience for Girls of NYPENN Pathways.”
The deadline for registering to attend this year’s Annual Meeting is Friday, April 19. To register, click here, and we hope to see you at our 2013 Annual Meeting!
