Older Girl Scouts and Adults in Girl Scouting are invited to a special free screening of the documentary, Bully, which will be followed by a panel discussion. The Seneca County United Way and Safe Harbors of the Finger Lakes will be showing the movie, which is a must see for kids, parents, educators, and anyone who works with and cares about youth.

The showing will take place on May 2nd at the Delvan Theatre at New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls. It will run from 6:15pm-8:45pm. No RSVP is necessary.

Did you know that 30% of students above 6th grade report being involved with bullying, either being bullied or bullying someone else? Did you know that bullying is increasingly being cited as a reason for youth violence, homicide, and suicide? It is time for communities to join together and speak out against bullying. Attend the movie, join in the panel discussion, and look into the Girl Scout resources that focus attention on bullying, such as the aMaze journey and the new BFF program resources, and find out how you can help stop bullying in your community.
