Attend Girl Scout Camp This Summer!

By: Kim Dunne, Media Manager

campGirls entering grades 2 through 12 in the fall can have the outdoor experience of a lifetime this summer at Girl Scout camp! Girls do not need to be Girl Scouts to attend camp.

Girl Scout camp allows girls to develop their confidence by trying new things, taking part in fun activities, and making lifelong friends.

This year resident camp is being held at the Comstock Program Center north of Ithaca and Camp Trefoil in Harrisville. Some programs girls can participate in include “Team Extreme” where girls work with their teams to solve problems and riddles; “Club Cayuga” where girls can pamper themselves during a spa week; “Craft Craze” where girls can try different crafts like jewelry making, nature crafts, tie dying, pottery, painting, and more; “Learn the Ropes” where girls can challenge themselves on the new ropes course; and “Backpack Trip” where girls will take a trip in the High Peaks of the Adirondacks.

Open houses will be held at both resident camps. Those attendingĀ  can meet the camp directors, tour the facilities, shop the camp trading posts, enjoy a s’more, and see what fun is in store for their daughters this summer. It is free to attend, but those attending must register by April 29.
