As reported by the Star Gazette in Elmira:
After Superstorm Sandy unleashed its wrath on the East Coast in October, the ladies from Girl Scout Troop 40004 in Horseheads decided they needed to do something to help the victims of one of the deadliest and most costly storms in history.
So, in December, the girls decided to hold a bake sale during Sparkle in Corning, wrote Lindsay Barrile, their spokeswoman. “When all was said and done, their bake sale raised $100,” Lindsay wrote. They donated the money to the American Red Cross.
Way to go girls! Are your girls doing community service activities? Let us know about it! E-mail email@example.com.
