Most of the six Oswego Girl Scouts that recently earned their Girl Scout Bronze Award: Clare, Julia, Katelyn, Katie, Catie, and Cecile, have classmates that are dealing with childhood cancer and they wanted to do something for sick children. So the girls decided to hold a Service Unit SWAPS event where the admission into the event was a donation for the Golisano Children’s Hospital.
Each girl chose SWAPS to teach the girls attending and put together everything needed to teach the girls how to make the SWAPS. Each girl that attended could choose two SWAPS to make and then made five of each SWAP. At the end of the event all of the girls had time to swap their SWAPS.
Following the event, the girls dropped off all of the donations at the Golisano Children’s Hospital.
