August is just around the corner. We’re already beginning to think about fall kickoffs, and product sale trainings, and fall recruitment event planning here at Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways. If you are a troop leader or a parent looking for a fun event for girls to participate in to end the summer and get ready to kickoff the new Girl Scout year you may want to consider the Delhi Annual Camporee.
The Delhi Annual Camporee will take place 4 p.m. Friday, August 23 to 11 a.m. Sunday, August 25 at Camp Shankitunk, 2420 Arbor Hill Road, Delhi, NY, 13753, (Delaware County). It is open to Girl Scouts in grades K–12 and adults. Kick start your new Girl Scout year at the Delhi Annual Camporee! Girl Scouts Investigate Science offers you the opportunity to explore the world of science through a different set of fun hands-on science experiments each day. Play with cool science toys and figure out how they work, learning interesting science facts as you do. Connect with your Girl Scout roots, participate in kaper charts, games, crafts, flag ceremonies, songs, and enjoy a few surprises throughout the weekend.
Accommodations are in cabins on bunk beds and/or cots. There are flushing toilets and running water. Camp fills up quickly and reservations are on a first-come-first-served basis. More details can be found on the Girl Scouts of NYPENN pathways website at www.gsnyenn.org
