Girls in grades 4-12 looking for a cowgirl adventure this summer, look no further than the Meadows of Mendon in Honeoye Falls. Girls can also bring their friends that are not Girl Scouts!
Girls will spend a week learning about organic farming and camping in a tent like real cowgirls. Girls will learn all about the daily chores necessary to care for horses, chickens, and pigs as well as helping provide horseback riding lessons to others. Each day, girls will receive an hour of riding instruction in the morning and another in the afternoon. Girls will also have their very own set of chores to complete all day. Not only that but there will be arts, crafts, swimming, and fun the rest of the day! Girls will receive hot organic dinners every night but need to bring breakfast and lunch food for the week.
The camp begins at 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 18 and ends at 6 p.m. Friday, August 23. The cost to attend is $440 per girl and the registration deadline is Monday, August 5. To register, click here.
