Take A Trip to Savannah!

Juliette Gordon Low BirthplaceHow would you like to take a trip to see the birthplace of the founder of Girl Scouts? We are offering TWO trips to Savannah, Georgia – one for girls in grades 9 through 12 and one just for adults!

The trip for girls will depart Syracuse on Monday, July 7, 2014 and will return on Friday, July 11. The participating girls will travel by luxury coach to Washington, DC and spend time at the Smithsonian before traveling to Savannah and visiting the home of Girl Scout founder, Juliette Gordon Low. While in Savannah girls will also take a ghost trolley tour of the city, go on a dolphin tour, see several lighthouses and even do some shopping. On the way home they’ll stop in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The cost to attend if there are four people to a room: $650 per girl and adult; if there are two people to a room: $760 per girl and adult. The fee for the trip includes transportation, hotel and entrance fees, and all meals except while on the bus. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due no later than February 28, a payment of $200 no later than March 28, and the final payment no later than May 23. The registration deadline is Friday, February 14.

The adult only trip will leave Syracuse on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 and return on Friday, August 29. Adults will experience the southern charm and exquisite architecture of Savannah, one of the oldest cities in America. Participants will discover hidden gardens and old plantations, and of course visit the Girl Scout First Headquarters and participate in the Girl Scout visit at Juliette Gordon Low’s Birthplace. The cost to attend is $1,530 per person. The fee for this trip includes round-trip airfare, three overnight stays in hotels with private bathrooms, breakfast and lunch on days 2, 3, and 4, and dinner on days 1, 2, and 3. All tipping and gratuities are included except for housekeeping services at the hotel. Entrance to Historic Savannah Carriage tour, Juliette Gordon Low’s Birthplace, Old Fort Jackson, Dolphin Cruise, Tybee Island Lighthouse, Andrew Low House, Laurel Grove Cemetery, and Ghost Walk is also included. A non-refundable deposit of $300 is due with registration. There are two options for paying the balance: a payment of $250 due December 20 and a final payment of $980 due May 8 or seven monthly payments of $176 due the first of each month, November 2013-May 2014. The registration deadline is Friday, October 25.
