Are you a new troop leader looking for fun activities for the girls in your troop? Are you looking to find ways to help the girls in your troop earn badges and journey awards? Here are three upcoming badge workshop programs:
Brownie badge day at Syracuse University – Sunday October 27, 10:30am-2:30pm, Syracuse University, 900 South Crouse Avenue, Syracuse,
NY, 13210, (Onondaga County). Open to Girl Scouts in grades 2–3, adults, and non-registered girls. Spend the day on the Syracuse University campus with members of the APO Sorority. Earn the Bugs and the Fair Play badges. Bring a bag lunch.
Sow What Journey in a weekend at Amahami – 7 p.m. Friday, November 18 to 10 a.m. Sunday, November 10 , Amahami Outdoor and Program Center, 434 Page Pond Road, Deposit, NY, 13754, (Broome County). Open to Girl Scouts in grades 9–10 Have you just bridged to the Senior level or is this your second year? Do you need a Journey to start the gold Award? This is your chance to complete the “Sow What” Journey in a weekend! Examine some big food issues, both locally and globally; compete in an Iron Chef competition; and look at some unexpected careers. Take some time to walk through the Gold Award process.
Product Designer badge workshop in Vestal – Saturday, November 9, 2-4pm, Bricks 4 Kidz® , 1708 Vestal Parkway , Vestal, NY, 13850 (Broome County). Open to Girl Scouts in grades 4–5 Learn to think like a product designer. Observe what makes a great product, be an innovation detective, figure out what’s working and what’s not, and innovate to find solutions. Use LEGO® bricks and motors at this fun and fascinating workshop. You will earn and receive the Junior Product Designer badge plus a Bricks 4 Kidz® tattoo and pencil.
