Are the girls in your troop looking for fun science, math, and technology program activities? Here are three upcoming programs being offered at different locations around Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways jurisdiction.
Interesting Inventions – Saturday, November 16th, 10am-noon, Owego United Methodist Church, 261 Main Street, Owego, NY, 13827 (Tioga County). Open to Girl Scouts in grades 2–3 Put on your inventor’s cap and create some truly fun inventions while you learn how inventions have shaped and changed our world! Work with other girls using LEGO® bricks and motors to make an “Interesting Invention”, then create your own invention. You will earn and receive the Brownie Inventor Badge plus a Bricks 4Kidz® tattoo and pencil.
Sci-Girls, Brownies – Saturday, November 16th, 10am-noon, Lowville Academy Central School, 7668 State Street, Lowville, NY, 13367 (Lewis County). Open to Girl Scouts in grades 2–3, adults, and non-registered girls What is interesting about science? How does technology play a part in your life? What do engineers do and how do they do it? What good is math outside of school? Get the interesting and engaging answers to these questions and embrace all that is STEM!
Astronomy Program, November – Saturday, November 9th, Noon-2pm, Roberson Museum and Science Center, 30 Front Street Binghamton, NY, 13905, (Broome County). Open to Girl Scouts in grades K–3 Dive into the world of astronomy through a show in Roberson’s digital planetarium where you can zoom to other worlds. You will also participate in other hands-on activities. Astronomy Fun Badge included.
