Cookies and Rallies

By Lisa Kaminski; Manager, Community Development

gsCookieHeaderThe cookie sale program begins soon. A cookie rally is a great way to get girls excited about the sale! Many service units hold their own cookies rallies or combine with neighboring service units to plan an event together. There are also council sponsored cookie rallies happening all around Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways jurisdiction.

A cookie rally usually consists of stations where girls learn skills in goal setting, booth sales, marketing, technology, and financial literacy. Most of all a cookie rally is FUN!!

One of the council sponsored cookie rally is Cookie Extravaganza! The event is taking place Saturday, February 8, 2014, 1 p.m. to 3
p.m., Community Room, Finger Lakes Mall, 1579 Clark Street Road, Auburn, NY, 13022, (Cayuga County). Open to Girl Scouts in grades K–12, adults, and non-registered girls. Play games, create projects, set cookie sale goals, and learn selling and safety tips for this cookie season. Create your own cookie bandana, customer thank-you cards, enjoy a snack, learn money handling and management skills, role play, and plan with your troop! The majority of the steps for the following badges will be completed during this event: Count It Up (Daisy), Meet My Customers (Brownie), Cookie CEO (Junior), Customer Loyalty (Senior) and Business Plan (Cadette), and Customer Loyalty (Senior). All events will be held in the community room of the mall.

  1. There should be an easy like to Little Brownie Bakers from the Cookies and more drop down; I spent way too much time searching and could not find the link.
