Without volunteers Girl Scouting would not exist. Each year we take time to recognize our volunteers around the Girl Scouts of NYPENN pathways jurisdiction. There are awards volunteers can receive for their service to girls and to the council. Volunteers are nominated by their peers for these awards and they are presented at the annual volunteer recognition events.
The deadline this year to nominate someone for a volunteer award is January 31. All nominations are sent to the regional volunteer services manager. There are webinars you can participate in to learn more about the various awards and the nomination process. The awards include the Thanks and Thanks 2 badges, the Honor and Appreciation Pins, the President’s Award, the Volunteer of excellence award, and the Juliette Gordon Low World Friendship Medal.
