There is still plenty of time for a girl to join Girl Scouts and have amazing experiences this year! That is why volunteers and staff at Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways will be holding winter recruitment events in many areas throughout our jurisdiction. Here are three ways that your service unit or troop can hold a winter recruitment.
Troop or service unit bring a friend events are a great way to invite new girls to join Girl Scouting! It gives girls an opportunity to share their Girl Scout experience, and what they love about Girl Scouts, with friends who have not had a chance to join.
Series programs – these short-term series give girls and their families a chance to experience Girl Scouting, learn what it is about, and decide if they are interested in joining a troop.
Parent meetings – Sharing information about Girl Scouting, what it offers to girls, and volunteer opportunities helps let people know that it is not too late to join Girl Scouts!
