The Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways is offering a program to girls in second through eighth grades that will give them the tools they need to understand the dynamics of bullying and identify ways to help themselves if they are being bullied or how they can help others that are dealing with a bullying problem.
The program, Bullying and Helping Hands, is being held on February 10 from 6-7 p.m. at the Herkimer BOCES, 352 Gros Boulevard in Herkimer. Girls that attend will earn a “Stop Bullying” fun patch. New Girl Scout members are welcome and pre-registration is required.
Girls that attend this program will be taking part in the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and will develop a strong sense of self, develop positive values, develop healthy relationships, resolve conflicts, and educate and inspire others to act – outcomes of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
The registration deadline is January 30 and the cost to attend is $2 per girl. Girls that are not already registered Girl Scouts can attend the program by paying the additional Girl Scout registration fee of $15. Financial assistance is available.
