Girl Scouts helping others

By Lisa Kaminski; Manager, Community Development

rouse troopThey may be the smallest Girl Scouts of all but a group of Daisy Girl Scouts from Wayne county have been busy doing big things!

5 Daisy Girl Scouts from Erin Rouse’s troop have been collecting pop tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald house charities in Rochester. The girls decided as a group what type of community service project they wanted to work on and then got busy collecting. They have collected from family, friends, and people in the community!

So far the girls have collected a total of 12,475 tabs! Impressive!

The girls were planning a troop trip to the Ronald McDonald house to drop off their donation and to learn more about the work they do at the house. They also planned on continuing their collection efforts through the remainder of the troop year.
