Gwen Parks
Gwen is from Baldwinsville and a graduate of C.W. Baker High School. Gwen’s project benefited Camp Abilities, a sports camp for the visually impaired. The camp provides these individuals with opportunities to be physically active. The counselors had to spend much of their time moving equipment used for these activities from place to place. Gwen recognized that if they had a central place to store the equipment, more time could be spent working with the students. Therefore she funded the building of a boathouse/shed and raised awareness of this organization in her community.
