You must know what the Girl Scout Leadership Institute is, right? It’s also known as the GSLI. If you missed it before you can find more information about right here.
In short, the GSLI is a conference for girls held every three years and it is happening this year! Girls who are interested in applying to attend can contact Karen Strife for more information and details. Girls who attend will make friends, have fun, and make a real difference in the world! The theme this year is Girls change the world. Girls will choose among seven popular issues and design related projects that will enable them to go out and make a difference in their communities. This year’s issues are teen violence, healthy relationships, basic needs (such as hunger, poverty, homelessness, and natural disaster relief), inclusion/diversity, self-image/body image, education, and the status of women.
Now we are looking for a volunteer chaperone!
In partnership with Girl Scout staff the adult chaperone will help manage this trip, support pre-GSLI girl preparation, support post Take Action activities and take part in activities planned for chaperones at the GSLI.
If you are interested in volunteering for this special opportunity contact Karen Strife at firstname.lastname@example.org
