All the wonderful animals – Saturday, September 20, 2014, 11am-12:30pm – My Little Farm, 142 North Flat Street, Penn Yan, NY, 14527, (Yates County). Open to Girl Scouts in grades K–8 and adults. Take a guided tour around My Little Farm and see a variety of animals; donkeys, chickens, ducks, turkeys, cows, pigs, bunnies and goats! Feed some of the animals and maybe even see some baby critters. Learn all about animals’ living environments, how different animals have different food needs, and the difference between organic and traditional farming. Pack a snack or bag lunch and stay and eat with the animals! Juniors will receive their Animal Habitat Badge for attending. Brownies and Daisies will receive a farm fun patch.
Cheer and dance – Saturday, September 20, 2014, 1pm-3pm – Empire All-Starz Gym, 17 Herkimer Road, Utica, NY, 13501, (Oneida County). Open to Girl Scouts in grades K–12 and adults. Enter the world of All Star Cheerleading. Learn tumbling, dance, and stunting skills. Develop routines to improve your flexibility. Learn to work with others as a team and as part of a stunt group. Gain confidence in your strength and abilities&emdash;you may be surprised by how much you can learn in just two hours! Receive a fun patch for your efforts.
Colgate University women’s basketball – Saturday january 10, 2015, 4pm-7pm – Cotterell Court, Colgate University, 13 Oak Drive, Hamilton, NY, 13346, (Madison County). Open to Girl Scouts in grades K–12, adults, and non-registered girls. Come watch a collegiate women’s basketball game. Join the fun on the court at halftime. Now that you’ve seen them in action, do you have questions for the coach and team members? Enjoy some pizza and soda as they answer your questions and give autographs. Share details about this activity with your friends! You must attend with a chaperone.
