Throughout the month of November, Girl Scouts of NYPENN pathways is participating in the ‘I can’t wait to volunteer” campaign, working in partnership with GSUSA and many other councils across the nation to spread the word about Girl Scouting and how awesome it is to be a Girl Scout volunteer.

If you are currently a volunteer with us and you refer a friend to Girl Scouts, who then completes a volunteer application, background check, GS101, and begins a new Daisy, Brownie, or Junior troop during the month of November, you will receive $50.00 to spend in the online Girl Scout store!

And guess what? Your friend who began the new troop, well, her troop is going to receive a volunteer resource pack which includes: Girls Guide to Girl Scouting (Daisy, Brownie or Junior), adult insignia tab, official Girl Scout membership pin, WAGGGS pin, volunteer pin, adult guide/journey book set and tote bag. Resources to help the new troop get started on their Girl Scout journey!

If you are a current troop leader or co-leader you should have already received an email from GSUSA with links to complete a survey when you want to refer someone. These need to be completed during this month in order to qualify. So, don’t forget, share what you love about volunteering with Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways, complete that survey link, wait for your friend to start the troop, and get some free spending money for new Girl Scout merchandise!
