Girl Scouts from Brownie Troop 41119 in Wayland wanted to give back to their community so the girls came up with the idea to provide a full Thanksgiving meal for two local families in the school district.
The girls spent time discussing what they have had for their Thanksgiving dinner and made a list of those items. The girls then learned how to shop for the items, learned about price comparison shopping and serving sizes and how to determine if it was enough food to feed a family.
The girls were excited to learn about this and to give back to their community.
