National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend celebrates all the fun and excitement girls have selling Girl Scout Cookies. It gives local girls a chance to show off their cookie-selling skills by participating in door-to-door sales throughout their neighborhoods. Don’t forget that if you do a walkabout during National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend, submit a photo and the information to our product sales department and you’ll get a National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend patch!
National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend will also give us an opportunity to highlight some of our most innovative and successful cookie entrepreneurs and what they plan on doing with their cookie money to benefit their communities. Through the cookie program’s “5 Skills,” (Goal Setting, Decision Making, Money Management, People Skills, and Business Ethics) each amazing young #cookieboss develops creative and resourceful ways to sell cookies. And the more cookies girls sell, the more money they have to invest in community service projects, learning experiences, and travel opportunities. To share your cookie stories, e-mail them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
“Girl Scout Cookies are about so much more than a yummy treat,” said Pam Hyland, CEO of the Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways. “They are about teaching girls basic business skills and instilling a lifelong sense of civic responsibility that creates leaders. At the Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways we have so many amazing girls doing positive things with their cookie money. During National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend we plan on celebrating these stories while helping girls meet their cookie goals for this year.
You can participate in National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend by supporting the girls who are walking about your neighborhood and taking cookie orders. For more information visit www.girlscoutcookies.org or download the new app for your iOS or Android phone or mobile device.
