Three things for Thursday

shoppingLooking to get out and about with your troop this spring? Here are three new program event opportunities for girls:

Zumba and Dance – Friday, April 3, 6:30-7:30pm, Victor Parks and Recreation, 1290 Blossom Road, Victor, NY 14564, (Ontario County). Open to Girl Scouts in grades K–3 and adults. Get moving and zumba with your friends! Dance, exercise, and enjoy time with other local Girl Scouts. Brownies, earn your Dance badge at this program. Program fee includes the badge for Brownies.

Earth Day event – Saturday, April 25, 10am-noon, Roberson Museum and Science Center, 30 Front Street,   Binghamton, NY 13905, (Broome County). Open to Girl Scouts in grades K–8. Go green! Explore the effects of pollution on the environment. Explore many creative ways to use recycled items instead of sending them to landfills. Learn about alternative energy sources and ways to save the earth from your own home. The Brownie Household Elf badge is included in the program fee for Brownies; an Earth Day patch is included in the program fee for other grade levels.

Sleeping with Dinosaurs – Friday, May 15 7pm to Saturday, May 16 8:30am, Museum of the Earth, 1259 Trumansburg Road, Ithaca, NY 14850, (Tompkins County). Open to Girl Scouts in grades K–12 and adults
Step back into the Ice Age! Study fossils, solve problems, and learn how to do real science. Let the Museum of the Earth educators lead you in hands-on activities and teach you how to do real science. Go on a scavenger hunt through the museum. Finish the night by sleeping next to the dinosaurs! Bring your own breakfast.
