Giving back to their community – that’s what local Girl Scouts love to do!
Girl Scout Junior Troop 40950 recently completed a community service project where they made 200 activity bags that were then given to kids in the Hornell Hospital Emergency Room. The bags included a book, all of which were donated by the local Rotary, a coloring book, an activity book, crayons, stickers, a small game, and a stuffed animal.
The girls also decided it would be great to teach younger girls what community service is all about. So the girls included the two younger troops in Avoca and put on skits for the Daisies and Brownies. The younger girls then helped in the assembly line of putting the bags together.
Way to go girls!
