gold_awardSpring is a time of year when many troops and service units are planning and holding bridging ceremonies for girls in their area. Girls moving up to the next grade-level in Girl Scouting are bridging. Bridging ceremonies often include an opening, a flag ceremony, presentation of badges and awards earned throughout the year, and girls crossing a bridge to be welcomed  by girls, and troop leaders, from the next oldest grade level.

If you are planning a bridging ceremony, Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways has resources available to help! Check out the council website at for short and snappy training on bridging and ceremonies. Also visit the council Pinterest page for craft ideas, and as well as a general search on Pinterest for Girl Scout bridging ideas.

Have fun and recognize the girls for all the work they’ve done throughout the Girl Scout year
