Volunteering with Girl Scouts allows you to make a difference in the lives of girls. You have a chance to be a positive adult role model, to teach girls about teamwork, leadership, important life skills such as decision-making and problem solving. And the best part about it is that you get to have fun while doing that!
Interested in volunteering? The process for becoming an appointed volunteer is really very simple. Visit the Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways website, http://www.gsnypenn.org
There you will find a volunteer section. Complete an online volunteer application, an online background check, and participate in a brief online training which will orient you to Girl Scouts, Girl Scouting 101
Once those steps are completed a volunteer services staff person or a volunteer in your community will contact you to arrange a meeting to conduct an interview to find the volunteer position which best matches what you are looking for.
We have several volunteer positions including recruiter, product sales coordinators, and of course a troop leader or co-leader. Check out the opportunities on the website and start making a difference in a girl’s life today!
