Three things for Thursday

gs-camp-1 (1)Girls are looking for outdoor adventures. We have them for you! here are three:

Animal Habitat – Saturday, December 5th, 10am-Noon, Montezuma Audubon Center — Create bird seed ornaments just in time to decorate the world outside for our winter birds! Complete the requirements for the Animal Habitat Badge by exploring the habitats of the Montezuma Audubon Center winter residents.

Winter Wildlife Mystery Walk – Saturday, January 16th, 10am-11am, Mendon Ponds Park — Where do insects go in the winter? Why do birds migrate? Why do some mammals hibernate while others remain active for the entire winter season? Through observation and clues, we’ll answer all these questions and more! This entire program takes place outdoors so please dress appropriately for the weather. The program may be canceled in the event of extreme cold or a snowstorm.

Tracks and Traces – Saturday, February 6, 10am-11am, Mendon Ponds Park — Investigate wildlife tracks, their homes, and other signs they leave behind in the snow! Learn basic track identification and how to attract winter wildlife. This entire program takes place outdoors so please dress appropriately for the weather. The program may be canceled in the event of extreme cold or snowstorm.
