Working on planning out the next few months of Girl Scout activities with your troop? Maybe you are looking for outdoor activities. Did you know that Girl Scouts has a partnership with the National Park Service to encourage girls to visit a national park, monument, historical site, or seashore near them.
Did you know that girls can even earn the Girl Scout Ranger patch during their visit? Girls earn the patch by planning and carrying out a trip to a national park, and submitting a follow-up to GSUSA or what they’ve done, or photos from their trip.
Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways is lucky to have lots of options for national parks for girls in our area. There is the Erie Canalway. Fort Stanwix in Utica, and the Women’s Rights Museum, in Seneca Falls.
So, get planning and get your girls outdoors!
