Three things for Thursday

By Lisa Kaminski; Manager, Community Recruitment

cookie2The Girl Scout cookie sale program helps girls learn real life skills, to help them succeed now and in the future. Here are three things girls learn through participation in the cookie sale program:

Decision making – your Girl Scout will help decide how her troop spends their cookie sale profits which will help with critical thinking skills, problem solving, and goal planning skills.

People skills – Girls gain real experience talking to, listening to, and working with all kinds of people while selling cookies. These interactions help develop healthy relationships as well as conflict resolution skills.

Money management – taking orders and handling customer money provides valuable and practical financial literacy skills.
