When Molly Osborne from Sherburne was planning on earning her Girl Scout Silver Award she chose to do something close to her heart – help those with disabilities as her brother is disabled.
She decided to create and publish a flyer for the Otsego Academy at Pathfinder Village. The Otsego Academy at Pathfinder Village provides the full college experience offering creative, individualized options that improve preparation for employment for students with disabilities who have completed their high school education. At the same time, attending the Academy will strengthen students’ independent living and social thinking skills necessary for life and job success.
To get the information for her flyer she interviewed three residents of Pathfinder Village about the “paths” they took to get where they are now.
Way to go Molly! Share what your girls are doing to earn their Girl Scout Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards by sending information and pictures to email@example.com.
