By Lisa Kaminski; Manager, Community Recruitment
This past weekend kicked off the cookie booth sale portion of the Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways cookie sale program. During this part of the sale girls set up booth locations all around the council jurisdiction at stores, banks, and restaurants to sell those delicious cookies to customers in their communities.
Girls learn life skills from the cookie sale program including people skills, money management, and budgeting, among others.
One troop from Wayne county, NY was very excited about being able to go out into the community to practice their sales skills. The girls in troop 40405 helped their troop leader, Rosey, to plan their booth sale locations. They decided as a group that with their sale proceeds they are going to take a trip to the Corning Museum of Glass and a camping trip to Camp Hoover as well!
