Linnea camp

Linnea Kolanda wanted to give girls with special needs the ability to participate in camp and enjoy the benefits that Girl Scouts and camping give to girls.

Linnea, from Binghamton, developed the ECEC program – Everyone Can Enjoy Camp. This camp was developed for her to earn her Girl Scout Gold Award. She brought in girls from the Children’s Home of Wyoming Conference and DCMO B.O.C.E.S. to Camp Amahami for a 3-day day camp program. The girls were able to take part in all of the traditional camping activities and had a great time!

Now Linnea will talk about her Gold Award project and how Girl Scouts has helped her become who she is today as the guest speaker at the annual Women of Distinction celebration taking place April 12 at the Doubletree Hotel in Binghamton.

The Women of Distinction celebration will recognize two amazing area women who are amazing role models for girls and who give back to their community. Click here to buy tickets and support Girl Scouts!
