Raging Reptiles – Saturday, May 21, 1pm – Cayuga Nature Center. Lizards and turtles and snakes, oh my! Come to Cayuga Nature Center and learn all about these cold-blooded creatures. Discover how turtles, snakes, and lizards are related, yet radically different from each other. Along the way, dispel some common myths about these fascinating animals. Admission to the Cayuga Nature Center is included in the program fee so you’re welcome to explore our other exhibits following the program.
Summer Camp Kickoff in Schuyler County – Thursday, June 2, 6pm – Watkins Glen State Park. Do you enjoy being outdoors? Then you’ll want to join us as we kick off our summer camp programs! Participate in some of our favorite camp activities. Play games, sing songs, do a camp craft, cook a spider dog, and have a s’more—there’s no limit to the fun you can have! Bring a friend to introduce to Girl Scouting and discover how much fun summer camp is.
Get Moving – Saturday, June 25, 1pm – Sterling Nature Center. Take a hike to explore and observe how animals use energy! Trees, wildflowers, bees, birds and chipmunks all use energy differently. How do they consume, use, and transfer energy throughout their ecosystem? We will discuss food chains and webs, as well as other key aspects of ecology.
