Doing some planning for when your troops gets back together after maybe taking a break over the summer? We’ve already got some great program event opportunities planned. Here are three:
Horseback Riding badge – Juniors are invited to D&K Ranch to earn their Horseback Riding badge. Girls will rotate through stations with educational booklets, learning about the different parts of the horse, and will also be learning/doing proper tacking, grooming techniques, feeding, and girls will even get to trail ride! This program fee includes the stable’s staff, a journal for each girl, and lunch. This program is outdoors, rain or shine!
Me and My Guy Field Day – Girls, bring the special guy in your life to Hoover Adventure Center to kick off the fall on a super fun note! Enjoy fishing on the calm waters of Song Lake, play field games such as three-legged races, gaga ball, and basketball, and explore the property by hiking and letterboxing. This is going to be an active day for you and your guy alike, so come prepared/dressed for a fun day outdoors! Lunch will be provided during the program.
Wild Adventure – What are snake scales made of? Why do skunks spray? We’ll travel to the heart of the Adirondacks to the Wild Center in Tupper Lake to answer these questions and many more! Through live exhibits and the elevated trail across the treetops, we’ll look at the natural world in a whole different way. After our day at the Wild Center we’ll travel to Camp Trefoil for more outdoor fun and to spend the night! So grab your sleeping bag and come with us for a wild adventure! Cost includes transportation, lodging, dinner on Saturday, snack and breakfast on Sunday.
