This week’s edition of Three Things is all about camp—the things we’ve loved, the places we’ve lost, and the memories the next generation have yet to make at these magical escapes.
Misty Hollow: The loss of Misty Hollow was a blow for many (if not all) of us. A camp beloved by many. But that doesn’t mean we can’t reminisce. A troop will be having a Misty Garden dedication on Thursday, September 29th. We hope that we can have as many troops there as possible to help dedicate the garden that honors the Misty Hollow camp we all love and miss.
Harvest Festival: We’re having a Harvest Festival at the Amahami Adventure Center on October 1st. Go on a guided hike, make a fall craft, and enjoy in a no-hands allowed donut eating contest. Girls will have an opportunity to learn how to fish from Professional Angler Jim Root!
Troop Adventures: Listen, we understand summer is over. Some of us are missing the adventures we had during our week at Amahami, Hoover, Trefoil, or Comstock. But that doesn’t mean our Girl Scouts have to wait till summer to zipline at Trefoil or have a camp-out at Hoover. So, why not build new camp memories in the off-season at one of our Adventure Centers.
